Our pricing is transparent and based on five key variables:
We have pointed thousands of square metres, using traditional chisels and hammers ranging from 25mm to 75mm deep (dependent on how deep the joints are). A rough guide is 2.5 times the joint, so if the joint is 10mm we would take back 25mm to ensure that the mortar that we put back stays where it’s supposed to. This is why we need to view the project before we can give you an exact quote, to gage the level of work required.
Our industry knowledge means we know when someone is trying to pull one over on you, and we will not stand for it. For example, if a company tells you they will grind back to 20mm as standard, then we feel that they are not worth listening to. We have pointed garden walls, patios, cathedrals and castles so, believe us – our experience is second to none.
We can match any existing mortar so any patching work will not be visible. On most of our Heritage projects it’s our job to find out what elements make up the existing mortar so that we can match our mixture to the original. Samples can also be created on request.
We can also match any brick that has been used, as our suppliers have over 150 different bricks to choose from. We are confident that we can find the exact brick needed for your project. This also applies to stone matching, and our highly-skilled team of tradesmen and suppliers can find just what you are looking for.
